Unlike table top & screw style fruit presses that use a moving screw & plate, these presses use a stationary threaded shaft with a ratcheting head to do the pressing with a greater amount of pressure, torque & capacity. This classic design has been in use for years and is still a great economical press solution for the home enthusiast today.
