These are made with pure American oak with a medium (level 3) toast on the inside. These are perfect for aging a number of beverages, such as wine, cider, beer, or even spirits! Barrel aging a beverage can impart toasted oak notes of vanilla and spice, and can influence the body, flavor, color and texture of the beverage. These barrels are perfect for the average homemade batch of beer or wine!
These barrels come with a solid red rubber stopper, and the bung hole is sized for a #5.5 stopper. Also, please note that the bung hole can accommodate a regular auto siphon, but is too small for a large (1/2 in.) auto siphon.
